Tunturikaluste – 20 vuotta pohjoisen koteja varten 🛋️❄️
Keskellä Kittilää, vähän niin kuin osa kylän sydäntä, on paikka nimeltä Tunturikaluste. Ja siinä tiskin takana on Taina – kalustekauppias, joka on tehnyt tätä työtä jo 20 vuotta. Eikä ihan sattumalta. Kun hän aikanaan aloitti, hän kysyi ihmisiltä, mitä Kittilä tarvitsee. Vastaus oli selvä: paikka, josta saa kunnollisia huonekaluja ja oikeasti hyvää palvelua.
Tunturikaluste on siitä lähtien ollut se paikka, josta haetaan sängyt, matot, verhot, lipastot ja kaikki muu kodin – tai mökin – tarpeisiin. Valikoima elää vuodenaikojen ja asiakkaiden mukana, mutta yksi asia ei ole muuttunut: täällä oikeasti kuunnellaan, mitä sä tarvitset.
Tainalle ja porukalle tämä ei ole pelkkä kauppa, vaan työ, jossa ollaan ihmistä varten. Halutessasi saat tuotteet kotiin kannettuna, asennettuna – ja vanhat viedään mennessä.

K-Supermarket Kittilä – kauppa, jonne tullaan ohikulkiessa tai ihan varta vasten 🛒

Keskeisellä paikalla Kittilää sijaitsee K-Supermarket Kittilä – siisti ja selkeä ruokakauppa, jossa asioi niin paikalliset kuin mökkiläiset ja tunturista saapuvat lomalaisetkin. Tänne poiketaan nopeasti ohikulkumatkalla – tai tullaan ihan tarkoituksella kauppareissulle vähän kauempaakin. Ja syystä.

Palvelutiskiltä nappaat mukaan savulohta, itse tehtyä sushia tai lämpimän lounaan. Jos tekee mieli hetki huilata, kahvion puolella voi istahtaa alas kupilliselle ja jatkaa sitten matkaa.

Tunnelma on mutkaton, palvelu pelaa ja valikoima on just sopiva – tästä kaupasta moni löytää sen, mitä ei edes tiennyt kaipaavansa. Tea ja Aarni pyörittävät paikkaa hyvässä hengessä, ja se fiilis kyllä välittyy.

From the service counter, you can grab smoked fish, fresh in-house sushi or a hot lunch to go. If you’ve got a moment to spare, there’s a small café where you can sit down for a coffee before heading back out.

The atmosphere is easy-going, the service friendly and the selection just right – many walk out with more than they expected, in the best way. Tea and Aarni run the store with heart, and it shows.

And if you’re short on time, no problem – you can order online, ready to pick up or delivered straight to your cabin. In the same building, you’ll also find Alko, a pharmacy, and EV charging. One stop, everything handled.

Rospuuttoretki – kun lumi ei enää kanna ja maa on vielä märkää, mutta mieli tekee metsään.

Kevään ja kesän välissä on oma hiljainen kauneutensa. Polut ovat vetisiä, maa upottaa, ja lumi pettää jalkojen alla – silti luonto vetää puoleensa. Vedenpitävät kengät ovat nyt paras retkikaveri, ja suljetut ladut yllättävät: kovapohjaisina ne kantavat kulkijaa vielä pitkään, vaikka muualla jo uppoaa.

Ei hyttysiä, ei tungosta – vain hiljainen sulamisen ääni, lintujen kevätlaulu ja lupaus lähestyvästä kesästä.

Ylläsjärven rinteiden kupeessa, keskellä tunturin fiilistä, löytyy tunnelmallinen ruokapaikka, jossa yhdistyvät pohjoiset maut ja rauhallinen rytmi – Ravintola Ylläskota.

Täällä à la carte on se juttu. Laadukkaista raaka-aineista rakennetut annokset ja tarkkaan valitut viinit tekevät illallisesta elämyksen – mutta nyt à la carte jää kesätauolle ja tekee paluun jälleen syksyllä.
